Singapore’s women’s 4x100m relay team broke the national record with a time of 44.66 seconds at the Asian Athletics Championships 2025. The time placed them fifth in Asia.
Team composition and performance
The team was started by Shannon Tan (personal best 12.27 seconds), a student of Cedar Girls’ Secondary 4 and her first international competition. Elizabeth-Ann Tan (11.72 seconds) and Shanti Pereira (11.20 seconds), who are Singapore’s fastest female sprinters. The team was rounded out by Lavinia Jayaganth (12.15 seconds), who holds the national U20 record in the 400m.

The old national record was 44.96 seconds, set at the 2017 SEA Games. This record was equalled just a month ago at the 2025 Singapore Open.
