Singapore’s 60th National Day: Full details of the NDP SG60 celebrations
Singapore is set to celebrate its 60th Independence Day on 9 August 2025, known as NDP SG60. This year marks a significant milestone for Singapore. This time, the celebrations will be bigger and more grand. For the first time, the main National Day celebrations will extend from Padang to Marina Bay, allowing more people to join in the festivities.
Celebration theme: “Majulah Singapura”
This year’s theme is “Majulah Singapura”, which is also the name of Singapore’s national anthem. The theme honours Singapore’s 60 years of development and progress and calls for forging ahead into the future.
Celebration venues: Padang and Marina Bay
Padang is traditionally the main venue for National Day celebrations. However, this year, the celebrations will also be extended to the Marina Bay area. It will feature:
- New Floating Stage: A new floating stage will be set up in Marina Bay, where various performances will be held.
- Live Streaming: Padang events will be broadcast live on big screens in Marina Bay.
- Interactive Booths and Carnival: Marina Bay will feature various interactive booths, activities and a carnival atmosphere.
Theme Song: “Here We Are”

This year’s theme song is “Here We Are”, written by Charlie Lim and Chuck Kerrang. Produced by Dr. Sydney Tan. The song is performed by Kit Chan Charlie Lim and The Island Voices. The song symbolizes the unity and progress of Singapore.
Ticket Application and Balloting Process
Singapore citizens and permanent residents can apply for tickets from 12pm on 28 May to 12pm on 9 June 2025. Applications must be made via Singpass. Each applicant can apply for 2, 4 or 6 tickets.

Special Attractions: Red Lions and Naval Divers
The Red Lions, the Singapore Armed Forces parachute team, will parachute into Padang. At the same time, the Naval Divers will make a water landing at Marina Bay. This combined show will be a wonderful experience for the audience.
Fireworks and other activities
The festival will include:
- Fireworks display: Fireworks display will start at 8pm at Padang and Marina Bay.
- Mobile Column: Display of various vehicles and equipment of the Singaporean military.
- President’s Song Salute: A song salute in the presence of the President.
- National Flag Hoisting: The ceremony will begin with the hoisting of the Singapore flag.
Heartland Celebration
The day after National Day, on 10 August, Heartland Celebrations will be held in various parts of Singapore. It will feature:

- Sports and games
- Food stalls and carnivals
